Join Dr. Jana Mathews, Assistant Professor of Medieval Literature (Rollins College) and student museum curator Amanda McRae as we explore the relationship between the history of the printed book and the future of reading culture in a digital society. Learn how books were made in the Middle Ages (hint: it involves mass murder) and see and experience real medieval manuscripts from Rollins College’s Special Collections.

“Bibles Gone Wild”

Learn about the infamous “Killer Bible” printed in the 15th century, and get up close and personal with a range of fascinating and rare biblical fragments from Rollins College’s manuscript collection.
