Convert a Recording to .mp4 Format

Only people with a designated ARF Player will be able to view the videos. For general use, you must convert your video to .mp4 format before sharing.

  • As of 10/06/17, converting a recording to .mp4 format requires an additional plugin that prompts the user to download by signing in. However, signing in right now may yield a few different errors, such as:
    • Content unavailable. Please contact your system administrator.
    • Your WebEx service site does not support converting WebEx recordings to MP4  format.
    • The new version of the conversion tool is not available on your WebEx service site.
  • The error arises on Kaltura’s end and will be fixed in future releases. Currently, the only workaround is to download this plugin and manually place it in the C:\ProgramData\webex\WebEx\500\plugin folder on your computer.
  1. Open your video in the ARF Player.
  2. Go to File->Convert Format->MP4 (MPEG-4).
    ARF Player - File Convert MP4

    1. If this is your first time converting a video, you will receive a prompt to verify your WebEx information. Enter in rollins.webex.com, your username, and your password, then click Continue.
