Arva Moore Parks McCabe

pr06861Arva Moore Parks McCabe is an extremely well known Floridian with knowledge that spans many different areas. Since graduating from the University of Florida in 1960, she has been inducted into the Florida Women’s Hall of Fame in 1986 and was honored as Coral Gables Citizen of the Year. She has written many works, including “Miami, The Magic City” and “George Merrick’s Coral Gables,” an ode to Rollins college alumnus and founder of Coral Gables, George Merrick. Additionally, she has won an Emmy award from the Florida Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, as well as many other community service awards.
