It might be worth remarking that in the 1980s Liam Neeson was just beginning to make an impact in Hollywood. One of his more significant roles was when he played a mute man accused of murder in Suspect, which starred Cher. And yes, you read right, the voice of Aslan, the man who can make a talking lion sound majestic, was silenced in this film. Plus if you look at the trailer for the video you would never even know he was in the film.
In 1990 he starred in Sam Raimi’s Darkman, where he walked around with a bandage on his face. It really wouldn’t be until 1993 with Schindler’s List, where Neeson would get the international recognition he deserved.
